Fuzzy logic and modeling

Fuzzy Logic (FL) is the expansion of the binary (Boolean) logic to a multi-valued logic. In contrast with binary logic, where binary sets have binary logic that is constrained to 0 (false) and 1 (true) truth values, fuzzy logic variables may have a truth value that ranges between 0 and 1. FL is derived from fuzzy set theory to deal with reasoning that is unclear and approximate rather than precise. FL emerged as a consequence of the 1965 proposal of fuzzy set theory by Zadeh.
